Found this rado outside Sanburns (coventry).. Stohlman?

very smart G60 rado in coventry yesturday





anyone know what Stohlman is? anyone know the owner aswell? was very smart!

Did a Google search for Stohlman, and found it's a US VW dealer

Looks like that car has US spec marker lights on the bumpers..

 

Possibly US Army or Air Force? They tend to be here for a while and bring their cars with them.

You guys would appear correct. It does look very much like a US spec g60!!
note also the different shape rear number plate holder and electric seat belts ( fitted instead of airbags due to US Law) probably also has Air con and sunroof combo, recaro interior, cruise control and different fog lights.

My uncle imported his from USA which he bought brand new and imported for less than 14k this was a 5k saving on UK list and in 1989-90 G60s were only available in LHD so the spec was a impressive upgrade to. His was one of 4 imported during 1989...
