Who has one? I'm pretty certain someone on this forum has one, I've seen the photo, just can't remember who..

Just want to know who makes it...

nice but if you saw the pic of my rear damaged car the wheel well has gone!...an ally tank would have split and possibly BOOM, but the o.em plastic job deformed to half original size..

Fair point ... but both alloy tanks do have additional levels of protection within their construction.

The one thing that worries me most is firewalling, I've always built competition cars with a sealed firewall between the driver compartment and the fuel tank, just recently though I've seen a lot of cars with the fuel tank within the driver compartment. Admittedly firewalling a Mustang or Mk1 Escort is somewhat easier than a hatchback but I'm still unsure on how they pass the regulations..

    Usually with a bulkhead.

I've seen countless RWD converted Mk3 Genesis/Gartrac Mk3/4 rally Escorts with an ally 'boot' created in the rear.

Racing may be less onerous. The Blue Book is online now, so worth a look?
