    Hi,
I have a Topran 103 420 fuel pump relay which I now suspect is defective and the root cause
    of my starting problem.
    It was bought brand new.

Is there any way of bench testing it to be sure?

I do know that if I put 12v across it the relay does click in and the
two large connectors (from the 12v and to the pump) connect
but I do not have any reaction from the relay when the connection from the
    coil is in place.
When the relay is connected the coil connection pin shows 12v.

    Thanks
