Have replaced fuel pump and all fuel lines

    New fuel pump relay fitted.
Suitable for Mk 1 with external fuse.

Problem is the pump runs constantly as soon as the ignition is turned on.

Am told pump should only run when engine is being cranked or running.

Am unsure of the origin of the fuse box. Came in a box of bits with the car

Do I have either the incorrect fuse box or incorrect relay.

The fuse box fitted has blade fuses

The relay that was fitted was numbered 167 and did not have an external fuse.
Most of the wiring had been stripped out when the car was used as a track car

Still many electrical problems. Soon as ignition switched on rev counter goes to maximum and stays there

    Any assistance very much appreciated.

    Phil

is it fitted above the fusebox, and does the pump stop when the relay is removed?
