i have a early vr6/aaa 3bar tank/pump to swop from my pb tank/pump set up. im now running abf digi.

why are they both 3 bar,yet the aaa/vr6 set up had the capability to flow 25L per hour more?

That tank would be from a later MK3 after August 95, when the engine controls changed. The "3bar" designation is the nominal operating pressure that the system will run on between pump check valve and FPR. The engine will use the required fuel it needs and the rest will be returned to the fuel tank. The maximum flow measurement is done by setting a flow resistance and observing how much fuel volume is deposited in a measuring beaker etc. You can use this information to determine if the pump is capable of delivering fuel to the engine. Using a crude calculator a MK2 Digifant pump is capable of flowing fuel to near 180bhp, where as a VR6 unit can support 280+bhp. During normal operation a PB and AAA engine will only require ~45 and 65 l/hr respectively.

So my current mk2 8v pump that flows 75L/hr @3 bar can support 180 bhp and an ABF can support 280bhp+ @100l/hr @4 bar, what can it do at 3 bar then? as i run a 3 bar FPR!!!

I am willing to sell the pumps and VWMS tank if anyone wants to make me a generous offer.
