As above, have taken out the clocks and tried a working LED with no luck. Could there be anything else preventing it coming on as my full beams work perfectly. Prehaps a fuse or something?

i think you need to explain that clearer mate... are you talking about the lights in the clocks or your full beams?

iirc its under the left stalk, just remove the bottom cowling off the steering column and you will see it, definately worth ruling out

reet, if lights are working you can ignore the stalks, all is well there. the warning light is on fuse 11, but it also does 1 side of the main beam so prob not that unless someone's bodged the headlight wiring so 1 side runs both bulbs or you have a relayed uprated lighting loom installed. The headlight beam warning wire is blue/white and it runs from pin U2/7 to pin 25 on the dash. put the main beams on and check for 12v there :)

Is this the fuse box under the steering wheel by the door? Have looked on the back panel diagram and it only goes up to 22?

it's not an LED anyway, it's just a small 12v filament lamp with a blue cap on the top of it,
so don't expect it to work with just a normal led in it's place

yep fusebox. need to take dash under trim out and drop it down off the hanger to access the rear plugs, pin 25 refers to the dash clocks plug, it has 28 pins though some may be missing :)

Tested with a volt meter and there's no power to the wire at fusebox end.

at the fusebox end of the dash clocks wiring, there are 2 connections U1 and U2. these are clearly marked on the back of the fusebox, but if you cant see em use my fusebox faq to ID them.

fusebox end its plug U2 pin 7, if its the clocks end you're looking at the pin number is 25

U2/7 is fed from fuse #11, if thats ok then id say the issue is internal to the fusebox unless some one has bodged your stalk wiring :(

ill have a look at the stalk wiring next. Could the fault be with the flimsy wiring at the clocks?

if theres no power at pin 7 of the U2 plug direct at the fusebox then it cant be the clock wiring (i assume this is how you tested it anyway?)
