Hotmail A few problems i forsee with both google and hotmail ideas. How is that lot going to be backed up Who would trust that much data to a 'free' service Would you trust the US Government to not snoop in your mail How secure will it be How much bandwidth will it all take etc etc
Aparently not http://www.hardocp.com/ G-Mail No Joke: Although 90% of the news on the internet yesterday was a joke or prank, the announcement of Googles web based e-mail wasnt a joke (although it is certain their offer of jobs on another planet was a joke. Ya think?). An alternative to all the other web based e-mail services like Hotmail, Yahoo and others? Sweet. Google's decision to begin testing an advertising-supported Web-based free e-mail service this week was so far out of character for the search engine giant that many people at first believed the announcement was an April Fool's Day hoax.
