Hi can anyone tell if there is any difference between the G60 arches and the standard ones on a 1990 big bumper model? I spoke to local VW dealer and had none listed only standard gti ones. If there is a difference, where can i buy them?

    Thanks.
    Wes

Would that maybe look a bit stupid, mine is lowered 80 mm and standard g60 rims 195/50/15 yokis, thought they were not that wide, dont want car to look like it is wearing a nappy, if you know what i mean??
    Thanks wes.
Anyone got a pic of a g60 with standard rims and lowered so i can see what it will look like??

if you cant fill G60 arches i wouldn't bother, they look a little daft imo..

on a standard G60 its obviously a different matter

Hi thanks for your replies, i will keep the standard arches, apparently they don`t fit 100% unles you have got a g60 (different wings) and i dont intend to get new wheels. But for your info they cost 46 each from gsf.

46! Am sure that's more than the dealers! Just got a front normal '90 spec one from the dealers which was 25.

Yea, that seems very steep, they are about 25-30 from the dealers.

my mk2 has g60 arches on and they fit great. although i am considering a widetrack conversion to fill them a little better.

Do G60 rear arches give you any more clearance for your wheels & tyres compared to normal '90 spec ones??

if you do some work to the metal underneath them then yes, you're not going to create space by sticking a different bit of plastic on... [:s]

The arches have been trimmed already (metal and plastic), so I dunno!

anyone got any part numbers for the G60 arches? Ive just widetracked my mk2 with the VR conversion and my wheels rub like a barstuard!

I want to get them in to the stealers ASAP otherwise my tyres are going to have disappered!
