When im in 1st or 2nd gear at low speed and not accelerating there is a kinda whining noise which goes as soon as i put my foot down. Its harn to explain the noise properlly but could this be a gear box thing?

Someone also suggested to me that a belt may be too tight and is straining? any truth in this?

    any help please [:D]
