gearbox experts look here...

how do i remove the shift rod thingy (techincal term obviously) that goes down into the gearbox. i've undone the bolts at either side and it seems well in there.

i need to remove it as my second hand box doesn't have one fitted!

oh, its a vr6 02A box by the way.

 

theres 2 bolts underneath it as well although ive never removed it

think so yeah...like i say i never did it, i saw someone pull one off...i think theyre in there tight too

 

yep, they are...its like its welded in!
