gearbox oil level

can anyone tell me how easy it is to change the gear box oil on an 86 golf gl (020 gearbox number). What size key do I need for the drain plug?

I think, which it does say on that thread is that cos of the year of your box you'll need to fill it until it dribbles out the filler hole. then remove the speedo cable and add an extra 500 mls down the speedo cable hole.
On later boxes they moved the filler hole so this didn't need to be done.

Best check to make sure.
