gearbox whistle

    my gearbox whistles at low revs in 5th gear....when travellign slowly, when u apply throttle it gets higher and higher....

    doesn't happen in other gear just 5th really...

    It was a new box about 2 years back...

    Is this one now on its way out?

    Fith gear is reasonably easy to get to if you take off end of gearbox
