I apologize for the Ron burgundy name i know its been done to death. This is my newly acquired golf 1.3C (the lowest of the low in terms of spec) swapped my mk3 gti 16v for this as the shell is really very good apart from a scrape on the n/s/r arch and my other mk2 project was going nowhere due to a terminally rusty shell. so i insured it for 100.00 a year and drove it for a few days knowing the top end sounded absolutely awful, at the weekend i removed the rocker cover to reveal a very worn cam shaft and broken oil spray bar, problems were rectified and fresh oil and filter were fitted for what i can only imagine are little pieces of the cam or lifters to wedge itself in the oil pump days later. so bring on the gti engine (just until my 20vt is ready). power rack is also going in, brakes including servo are now all gti spec, reacro interior, coilovers, and central locking
