If you spec lane assist on the Golf, you also get beam assist. However, ACC is standard on the GTD, GTI & R. Not sure about other models.
cool handy to know for next time As i dismissed lane assist and adaptive cruise control when looking at the LEON
I was constantly watching the tracker on mine, makes the wait even longer lol I do like the slightly darker rear lights on the R.
I've been mulling over an R for some time having sold my Edition 30. I have got a 6 month old BMW F31 xdrive with some AC Schnitzer goodies. It a great family package and my MK2 16v (CFJ) gives me track thrills but is tucked for winter. The R would provide a practical package although I was also thinking about an M4 or new RS3. Spec on R I looked at was as following: 3 door Manual Carbon Black Upgraded Sat Nav etc with larger screen Undecided on cloth or leather Black mirrors Adaptive suspension Will fully decide after Christmas
The price of the cheap leases is so low, all the deals are underwritten by VWFS. If you did want to buy it after the 2 year lease term, you would undoubtedly pay more than the 23.5k that you think it would cost (for a standard car). Else the lease company makes no profit. Most the lease deals have a total cost of lease of around 6500-6800. I'd expect to pay at least 25k at the end of the lease term. My car is currently unconfirmed build week 5. Long wait still. Hoping for some stage in March.
I think the days of getting the car cheap at the end of a lease are gone. The last 3 leases my brother has had the offer has been at least 10% above the going rate (in one case, around 30%!)
It's not an easy retrofit for the proper one A factory camera lifts the vw badge up and the camera pops out from under it The dealers can only fit a numberplate mounted camera that ties into the display A friend forgot to add camera to his new GTD and was told it was an easy retrofit, only to be told it could not be done as the factory version and had to settle for the plate cam And If you want a tow bar, get the factory option... That's another dealer mess up that we won't go into now
It's easy on the Mk7. But slightly more expensive than factory fit. As expected. Don't belive the dealer bull****. Reverse camera is doable with the pucker badge version. Some of the loom is already there too apparently. Just some parts and VCDS coding.
