Golf GTI 115 diesel injectors

A mate of a mate needs some new injectors for a Y reg mk4 Golf 115bhp GTi diesel - can anyone recommend where to get them from?

 

Lucas would be a choice.. but maybe dealer only

i have an almost new set, done less than 7k, do you have the part number of the ones he wants, they go by model and engine code

TBH all I know is he's apparently fecked them due to running on fuels he shouldn't have been using.....

 

Right this is what I've got:

Golf GT tdi mark 4, 115 bhp.

Engine number - ajm484835

Does that sound right and how can I get the part number for that?

 

Part no will be stamped on it, however inconvenient it is to get at.

 

I think you need the chassis number really but just get him to give VW a call and get them to look it up... If you can get to them tho and get a Bosch number off them it may be cheaper from a Bosch dealer...

Exchange they are about 200 each I think but if the car is around the 100k mark i would consider buying an exchange head (with valves / tappets and injectors) for not much more as these engines do seem to suffer early HG failures.
