You'd be better off posting on ukmkivs if you haven't already.

hello, haha, thanks for the smug remarks, well what i mean by heavy is that on full tank i get app 330 miles and not sure if this is normal or not, but i haven't checked if my foot is heavy or not, lol. C'mon guys surely someone has got some intelligent answers for me, what about all you gti experts out there?

What sort of driving do you do, mostly motorway driving or around town a lot - stop starting all the time for those blasted lights and sunday drivers.

    An entirely mk4/mk5 based site

Theres at least 10 Ed30 owners posting on there, and one (infrequently) on here.

330 per tank seems ok to me, i get the same out my mk2 16v - i think, haven't checked the consumption for a while.

Is the tanks 40 or 60 to fill. MPG is easier to work with!

I would expect 20-27 mpg from that car.

We've road tested both the DSG and manual versions of the GTI Edition 30 for Volkswagen Driver magazine and we got overall averages of 25.8 mpg for the DSG and 27.8 for the manual bearing in mind that this includes over 1,000 miles of performance testing and lots of enthusistic driving, it should be at the lower end of what a normal owner can expect. When driving 'economically' (cruising/keeping to speed limits!) we got 37.4 and 35.8 respectively.

Volkswagen quotes 45.6 for official extra urban but you'd have to drive very deliberately to get anywhere near that in real-life road use

What sort of figs are you finding on the MFA? ( Although bear in mind that these aren't always accurate you need to doublecheck by keeping careful records of brim-to-brim refills etc)
