Im also a lover of red & my engine bay gives this away lol C63 was a bully but im sure you will teach him a lesson soon.
Was the c63 stock? Ive gave a few stock ones a spanking in my mk3 ibiza running about 300bhp

Are you planning to track the car? Im hoping to track mine for the 1st time, abit nervous but i know it will be fun

C63 sounded real mad, fella was a nice bloke loved my golf so took him a run lol
My wee car is only running 1.2 bar for now as exhaust is holding her back which will be sorted soon along with Corrado box
as he only got past as she was starting to drop off high rev's in 5th and no gears left
But was well pleased

Yeh theres nothing like the sound of a V engine being fraped!

The wee golf did well tbh taking into consideration the power output of the merc, im impressed. What inch exhaust system you going for as that's next on my list too.
Currently have a 3" Dp into 2.5 to rear... Corrado box... hmmm interesting. Im hoping by chocolate box lasts me until next year lol

I have a 3" downpipe into 16v supersprint system, will be hoping to make up 2.5 pipe right through to a new backbox
Vr6 Corrado gearbox will be a much better job with better range
Mine has the mk3 GTI box with quaife diff and has been grand this last 8 years

 

Looking forward to seeing/hearing your new system & its also good to hear your quaife diff has lasted that long as thats the same brand im going for.

 

Took a wee trip out to a local GTI meet last night, alway's good to engage with like minded people
