Hello, today got two diesel tachometers for my golf mk2, none of them works. I have the w terminal on the alternator, the alternator is charging without problems. I have one red black wire which i suppose goes to the w pin but the tachometer is not showing revs. Can someone sort my problem? How can i test the w pin? How to test the tachometers? Is it possible to add a wire from w pin directly to the cluster to test?
Did you have a good look at Rubjonnys wiring diagrams and fusebox FAQs? That should at least answer the wire from.W pin question
