    I have owned this Golf since September 2000. I bought at a garage called Stirling Motors in Croydon.

    Car started life as a 1.8 8V GTi with around 50, 000 miles on the clock when I bought it.

    These are the mods that have been done over the years;

    Mods:

    • Bottom end bored out to 1900cc with 0 miles on the clock, new shells, piston rings, core plugs, big end bolts and reground crank Before I BLEW UP ENGINE.
    • Stage 2 tuned PB cylinder head, polished and ported cylinder head with new bucket tappets, head gasket and head bolts.
    • New cambelt
    • TSR metal head gasket
    • All new seals and gaskets
    • Polished and ported throttle body
    • Chrome rocker cover
    • Newman 268 High performance camshaft
    • Ashley four Branch exhaust Manifold, comes with heat shielded tape and zip ties.
    • Powerflow twin round 31/2” full stainless steel sports exhaust, supplied and fitted by RSR
    • Golf G60 Front Calipers
    • Golf G60 leather steering wheel
    • New VW 22mm master cylinder
    • 280mm front cross drilled Zimmerman brake discs
    • 239mm rear cross drilled Zimmerman brake discs
    • Pagid fast road brake pads
    • New VW clutch
    • New up-rated brake lines
    • New Flexi Brake pipes
    • New front and rear wheel bearings
    • Weitec GT sports Shocks and lowering springs, lowered 40mm
    • Falcon 195 45 low profile tyres
    • Recon gearbox by bedrock veedubs
    • Mk3 weighted gear shift rod
    • Manual adjust clutch cable
    • Febi water pump and oil cooler
    • New Powerflex bushes throughout
    • New top mounts and bump stop bushes
    • Resprayed rear axle beam
    • Powder coated front calliper carriers
    • Resprayed coated front sub frame
    • Vibratech Engine mounts
    • Engine wiring loom rewired.
    • New Power steering rack
    • New ball joints
    • New tie rod ends
    • Adjustable camber bolts
    • Rear head rests fitted to back seats
    • Debadged Front Grill
    • Vented wing
    • 16” BBS RX alloy wheels
    • Chrome bee-sting aerial
    • CAT 1 Clifford concept 600 alarm system with window roll up, alloy wheel sensors and 3 point immobiliser.
    • Tracker
    • Delocked front door handles
    • VW green tinted windows throughout
    • Pioneer DEH-P7600MP with six disc CD changer
    • Eibach front and rear anti roll bars
    • Electric windows
    • Electric Mirrors
    • Central locking
    • 16V rear light clusters
    • 16V Tinted black front and side indicators
    • Big Bumpers
    • Alloy golf ball gearshift

    Now it's in for a respray in gloss black and doing an ABF conversion. Engine has been rebuilt, got a mk2 16V gearbox to rebuild and to get megasquirt working. [:s]
