Ive got a Golf MK3 and want to fit some RS4 Alloys to it. How big can i go without having arches rolled, and how can big can i go with only minor work being done?

    Cheers

    17's on 205/40R17 Tyres.
18's would need the angle grinder!

My mate has a Mk3 8v colour concept on standard suspension and he's running 18inch RS4 alloys with 35 offset and 35 profile tyres with no scrubage at all.

I will check what width his tyres are, I think they are 215's...

Think I must be getting old, but I really don't understand the point in fitting wheels which make the car undriveable!
