Hi everyone. I'm after some advice regarding my '99 gti turbo. The drivers door handle isn't working properly and I have to pull it around 3 times before it eventually opens the door! It opens fine from the inside so I'm assuming this may be a cable slipping ? Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
sounds like the door handle cable might not be quite tight enough, it has some adjustment. If so I would say unscrew it a few threads at a time until the lock cylinder/blank comes out but no further
Just had this with mine i took the mechanism out and soaked in wd40 and worked the mechanism till free
