MY uncle recently got a Golf V6 4motion and he wants to up the bhp to
about 240-250 brake. Is there a simple way of doing this with just a
couple of mods, or would it end up really expensive? He's looking at
    spending about a grand.

    Cheers

recon on atleast a chip, cam, exhaust, inlet.
Tho i doubt that alone will raise 45 odd bhp.
supercharging would be the way 4ward, but much money

Would supercharging or a turbo be the best option?

    chip and remap?

    ^hmmm....do you call 20bhp a fair amount?!

rechip would set you back about 400squid-ish.
    in comparison, a charger/chip could add 80+bhp.
But then theres the cost [8(]

recon with the other usual bits..cam,decat,inlet, may nudge it up to 40bhp, eg. r32 league.

R32 is far too expensive. What dya reckon he's looking at for a
    supercharger or turbo installation?
