VW Racing tend to use road cars as start points, so you could do a lot worse than call them. They've just converted a Mk6 GTI. The Mk5s already in existence are generally seasoned so interiors will have found bins or homes I would have thought by now. Worth dropping pascal a PM as he might have a few clues and pointers too.
