Hi, Can anyone help me with a wiring diagram for the Central Locking interior lock switch (which is on the drivers door). Also, what could cause this switch not to work- it does not lock or unlock the doors although the fob locks and unlocks the doors ok. Thanks

    the switch has 4 pins:
    1 - earth
    2 - button illumination
3 - driver door control unit pin 31 (central locking warning lamp)
4 - driver door control unit pin 7 (door switch)

if the switch lights up with the dash illumination the earth is fine, so it'll just be down to the 2 wires to the control unit, a duff switch or possibly some kind of issue with the door control

Thanks for that brilliant info. Any idea where the door control unit is situated? Sorry for being a pest but do you have a wiring diagram for that part of the circuit that you could send me. Thanks.

What a brilliant site you have for wiring diagrams. Do you have a list of each PDF file? Thanks again

as you have seen from the diagram, the switch only goes to the door motor which contains the control module for that door, all the info is passed throughout the system with the use of magic & the Canbus network

switch is possible, if it seem to do nothing - the times it's pressed is viewable via diagnostic equipment (like VCDS), easy way to see if it's think its being pressed without taking anything apart :o
