I am fitting a 02S six speed box in my mk1 golf and have gone and got a mk5 gti shifter with cables for it but the cables seem to be a bit too long. Does anyone know if the cables can be changed for shorter ones or do I have to get a complete shifter again. (got the mk5 gti one as the throw is nice and short).
