Wise up Matt! Just how long has this phone been broken for.... 99.9% of businesses would have a dodgy phone fixed/replaced as a matter of urgency seeing as it is their link with the paying public...
August 2002 was the last time i managed to get through on the landline. When i was chasing up my cylinder head that was apparently built up but still took 3 weeks.
Well, seeing as he doesn't like people getting hold of him (phone / email etc) im f**ked if im going to go anywhere near him now lol. I'd want to be able to get hold of the guy doing my car without having to drive down and see him. Not good at all
but thats just it. He is too busy to take on more work. And if he doesnt want to expand the buisness to be able to do so thats what will happen.
He's a race car builder, not a road car customiser. He obviously wants to stick to the race stuff and he has plenty of work. His competition record speaks for itself and that's the focus of the business.
But he still takes on the work Greg, and lets people get p***** off with their cars sitting unfinished, thus harming his reputation. He needs to choose one and stick with it.
Does it? I dont follow much about the VW Cup, but I met up with one of the racers recently, and the words he had to say about grant werent all that complimentary! (I take that with a pinch of salt as he is a competitor of his at the end of the day)
There was a chap on cupranet who had his Ibiza converted to TB's by GMS - cost him a fortune, the thing never ran right and eventually he and the car disappeared from the scene. Had a look at it once myself - the rad had been dropped to make room for filters and was held in with cable ties. Right bodge. The only time I have spoken to Grant was at Inters a couple years ago and all he could say was that my engine was crap, I should do it his way etc. Would think twice before using them if I were you Cheers Rob
There is a lot of BS floating around in the paddocks from a lot of people (Grant included), but that is the same for any motor sport at any level. But for such 'fantastic' cars, his are not really up there are they?
Talking about Grant Motorsport, I spoke to the guy who has that Vr6 Helios Blue mk2 for sale in the sale section atm. He said he had the engine conversion done at grant motorport, and when he got it back the wiring and everything was a mess, so he had to take it to another company to have the wiring etc all put right Think the message here is to steer clear!
Yeah, probably the only car with a Grant motorsport throttle boddied engine that didn't / doesnt perform well. As for the v6 mk2 with two fuse boxes...I saw that car before the conversion and the wiring was a right state, two fuseboxes were used to easyly convert a pre 90 spec mk2 to run a vr6 engine.
