GT4 Nurburgring Challenge..

Just thought it would be an idea to see what everyone has managed to lap the Nordschliefe in??

My best in a modded road car (as opposed to a race car with downforce etc) is 6.51 in my S2000. Sure I can go quicker too..

What can you all do??

5m42 in MY Audi R8 with three spins

 

yoooo thats some hot laps there, the quickest iv got so far in a supra is 6:50:00 and that was in manual mode....

well i have also got 6:43:00 but that was in automatic mode in a listers car.....

me and my mates all get together and have a blast trying to beat each others laps.....and iv only been playing it two days......lol

i got a 9.03 in the mkv gti and 9.08 in the mk1 gti (both fully tuned)

I have gt4 and forza the difference between the lap times on the ring are huge anyone else noticed this.

I quite like the idea of comparing times on gt4 with one car for this thread any mods, only rule manual gearbox? The M3 would be my choice.

lol...ive just got a PS2 and GT4 so ill give it a go tomorrow

 

borrowed my mates playstation at mo, so can only use it in arcade mode with limited cars,

but so far i did a 8:45ish in the mkV gti,

and low 6mins in the astra dtm.

 

If you get the Audi R8 before tomorrow (4.5 gazillion credits) you're better at it than me!

i find that course is really getting easy....im learning corners etc... still have unwelcome suprises from dodgey bumps...gvk...you've been there....is it really as bumpy as gt4?

 

It is bumpy in places, yeh.. but not as bumpy as on the game.



The little chicane between Metzgefeld/Kallenhard and Wehrseifen isn't as bumpy as it is on the game, the race cars take off I find!

Said it before, but how the track opens out in front of you on the game seems very realistic, the karussell 'feels' a bit wrong as does Bergwerk, but at the end of the day it's a game.

My personal best so far is 6min 44 with a few offs (Nismo 350Z LM car)


Haven't won the R8 yet, seems to be the car to do it in (have had to race against it in the Wet Tsukuba (sp?) race though)


I did spend all of my money tuning the 350Z to 902BHP, and then it went round in 9min 32ish, but I had removed my memory card to stop it saving it with no money. Perhaps its time to tune it again. now I've got a bit more money, and see if I can break the 6'30 barrier.


Also, has anyone done the 24hr endurance yet?? I started it, but took me 4 days just to get 6 hours done (I'm quite busy at the moment), so I had to turn my PS2 off as it was getting quite warm.


What prize car do you get??

 

I've not done it but you do get an F1 car for completing Nurburgring 24hrs

 

Just done a 6.07 on my 3rd lap in the Audi A4 DTM car, Only mods are stage 3 n/a tune and some sticky rubber.

F1 car is vv quick but i can't drive it flat out, any bump on the track sets the car off in to a tank slapper at 200mph
