Time for a new challenge... seems everyone has expended every last effort on the last one.

Current Challenge, starts 16th Jan:

Mode: Time Trial
Track: Trial Mountain Circuit
Car: Mk5 Golf GTI

Modifications: Unrestricted


Rules

Times: Lap times need to be valid 'white' laps and viewable on the 'Rankings' page.

Proof: With most people having mobile phones and digital cameras, those posting top 3 or top 5 times need to be accompanied by proof, there is a guide on the forum for how to post pictures (or pictures can be emailed to me)

I got my time down to 1:29.5XX will post pics (at a later date) but im sure this will be easily beat so I do not feel I have to atm put up any pics and I ran out of time and went to the pub - plus I was .4XX sec up before i dind it and reckon other people will find much better times soon making my time negligible.

Come on people get stuck in....Nick what times are you holding back?

Just done a 1.28.427 secs, I reckon I can still go faster, as I'm pretty &**e up until the 2nd tunnel.

1:29.713 at the mo. If i can now just string a full tidy lap together and work out the best lines through a couple of corners. Also i still only have 334 bhp, some people have over 365! What have i missed to tune up as i can't find anything?

 

I've got 3.5 seconds to find to beat 99hjhm. Better things to do until i get a steering wheel.

 

Engine rebuild and oil change

 

You don't necessarily need a steering wheel, I did my time with a hand controller. As said engine rebuild to get the best bhp.

 

Just got into the 1:29s, can see more time to find still, just gotta put the car in the right place....

 

Don't know what the lines folk are taking, but I made some real time up taking a real tight line on both the entrance and exit to the second tunnel, ignore the suggested lines. Might just help.

 

Yeah I just found that too, head over to the right before the first tunnel, then swing left and hug the inside round the bend into the long tunnel.

In the 1:28s now, 1:28.749.

 

Damn, i'm terrible at this.

I won a bucket full of cash at the ring (750,000) so got an oil change, engine rebuild and chassis re done. Now my car drives like a turd, wont go round corners at all, all over when I brake, whats occuring?

Best time after 10 laps was 1.31.089[:^(]

 

Need to do another 100 laps 1990! I dunno how many I did tonight but I got from 1:31 down to 1:28.
