Thought it wasn't out till the 29th? I was planning on buying a 360 just to play it, as although i'm not a big game player i do have a love for the GTA games... Doesn't look like it's going to happen now though as any spare cash is being funnled into an engine conversion as my driver lump is near death. (Finally!)
It is out on the 29th but if you ordered it on play you might get it early. Or if you got "That" copy from a torrent site..

If one was to download a copy can it be played on a non modified xbox?
Should be here on Xbox 360 for Tuesday hopefully. I tried to buy from Game on midnight release, but as i didnt pre-order they were all allocated, however the only copy i could order online was the special edition. So got that from HMV for 10 off. Cant wait to play it, looks fantastic and been looking forward to it since San Andreas.
Thinking of buying a 360 just to play it .... I bought a PS2 just to play GTAIII (and Tenchu). But having played every one since to death (except San Andreas) is there any more mileage or worth to be gained from the game ? (I doubt it) It's that same dicotamy of games .... is anything new and innovative ? Not really .... just slap a new front end on and update the graphics ....... .... so Wii it is then .... San Andreas was the best of the lot tbh, its the only one I was compelled to finish, all the others got boring well before the end. Can't wait for this new one, when it comes to a proper platform that is
Pre-ordered mine ages ago. Getting Tuesday. Can`t wait! Apparently it will be much more involved than previous installments, due to the processing power of the PS3 and Xbox, and the online elements.

There are many online versions. Not just the cops vs robbers style gameplay. Also traditional deathmatch etc, there are 16 modes of online play. Cant wait for this game, so in depth, for example you start with a crappy mobile phone that can only send text and make calls, but eventually you get a camera phone so you can take pics of next target, steal a police car and upload the photo into the police database to find out all their details. The mobile phone features very heavily in the game, and is how you receive all your missions.
