The gearbox on my brothers 2.0 8v MK3 Golf Gti is dead, been ringing round scrappers cant find on anywhere! however i have found one off a MK3 1.8 GS, will it go on or are there any others that will fit? Thanks
nope i don't thin it'll do. if i'm correct (and i may not be) the gti 8v has a cable change box, which is only shared by the 16v and the vr6. all the other mkIII's are rod change, so completely different box. i also think it would have to be from a gti 8v as the ratios are different.
