I have just bought a lovely 150bhp GT Tdi Golf. The previous owner has told me of a cold start problem. It only happens in winter. Car will start then run rough and sometimes go into limp mode, switching off and on will make the car run fine. It runs fine in summer and when warmed up. Turbo boosts well and is a smooth drive. Any ideas? Thanks
Sounds like a glow plug issue but i have no experience with this engine. Probably got a plug not working so feels like running on 3 cylinders till warmed up?
cannot be a glow plug issue as it does start!>>:L><???????? i was thinking that it is more likely a problem with a temp sensor but i am only here and making comment due to the fact that i want to learn more...... baz
