had a mole cut out today.

i had a cyst cut outta the base of my back, and another outta my arm not long ago - i know how ye feel

 

cheers,its the first time ive ever had the knife taken to me and im 24yrs old,not bad going.

im not good with blood etc,when i got off the bed it was pi$$ wet through with sweat

 

i was just under local anaesthetic, and i watched him cutting my arm, poking his finger in, cutting lump out and then sewing it back up. no problem...

...however...

... when it came do doing my back, i left teeth marks on the top edge of the bed. it was horrible. i felt everything! now i hate people touching bottom of my back. couldn't even face getting my stitches taken out on my back and so did it myself...

 

im dreading it,[:^(] im glad i couldnt see it!

I've had 2 moles removed, one at the base of my spine the other between my left nipple and my shoulder. Had my back one done when I was younger, apparently I seriously bruised the nurses hand who was holding my hand to comfort me

Other one I had done last year, local anaesthetic and watched it being done, looked horrible, and has gone weird since as the inside of me healed quicker than the skin, so I have no skin over where it was now, its really weird!!! Guess thats the NHS for you, had the first one done by private consultant!!

 

how do u know if u need a mole removing, then?

 

when there are big lumps all over your lawn

I had a mole removed from my back a few years ago. My GP did it... wish I'd gone to the hospital though as he made a bit of a hash of stitching it up so I've got a bit of a lumpy scar. Thankfully it was benign.

Got a couple of other moles on my shoulders that I check regularly.

If you've got a mole & you notice it changing size, shape or colour, get it checked out. It'll be worth it just to hear the words that its OK.

 

now that worries me. I have a strange lump at the base of my neck too, about 2" to the right of my spine. should I get it looked at? it's been there for years.

 

Aye paul, get it checked anyway. better safe than sorry...
