Heater Sounding Awful..

    Well this weeks niggling issue on the MK2 is a heater that now sounds like a novice trumpet player.

    I'm guessing it's the bearing on the blower motor which will need replacing.

    Am I likely to be right? If so I guess it's a trip to the scrappy's.

    Probably yeah, if you go tinkering though don't blow the dust out of the fan motor casing, I breathed some in once and thought I was going to die [xx(]

    If you get the motor out, which is easy enough, you could just give the fan a wobble and see if theres play.

    mine used to do the same on low speed but has stopped doing it now, whip the fan out and squirt some WD40 in there, or try another i doubt they go for much second hand.

    Any given gutter, any given day.
    I soak them in engine oil then leave them to drip dry, never had one go squeaky again since! WD40 is a bit thin, it'll be gone in no time...
