Well I've been a member on here for a few years but never really posted and used the forum more for reseach. So I've finally got around to sorting out a project thread; Click Here And post a little, hopefully I plan on joining in some of the trackdays this year Sure a few of you may know me from SCN and my thread as been copied and pasted over so you know why it seems a bit out of date sometimes p.s. who's the best person to pm about changing my username?
Your lime green thingy is crap. ps But I would like to buy it off you. Where can I get WRC round headlights and bumper?
lol thanks, I guess?? Been looking long and hard for the WRC headlights..... no luck, only one's I did find were for the pre-facelift Ibiza and costing 500 euro's. Thinking of getting some made up but thats a chat with the bodyshop I use and a winter time project I think as I have a spare set of GTi headlights
He's our in-house jester Dave. Normally out selling big issues, but he's harmless!! PM me re: your username. daved: WRC headlights: EUR400 on rallycarsforsale.net, bumper, rare, but findable. Talk of some being made however. Watch this space.
See if you can sort it, and let me know. My next car will be a 16v Ibiza. In Ireland, you have to have a car less than 20 years old, insured, before you can insure a classic car. The Audi 1oo has 18 months to go before its gone!
Any VAG car built after 1992 is a mystery to me. BUT THIS ONE I CRAVE. What's an F1, or is it F2 Seat? I had an Ibiza 1500 Porsche engined thing in 1987. It was crap! A bit Fiaty!
F2 Ibiza Kit Car.... one you thinking of it was called "F2" because of the championship it was in, F2 all the cars were FWD with 2 litre engines. The Cordoba above was when Seat had a go at the WRC (Group A) championship where you had the big boys like Colin McRae in the Subaru and the Evo's back in the day.
The reason it was crap was VW didn't own SEAT until 1990! F2 Seat? Gunar Palm and all that, but did you have '90s rallying bypass?
Get the glasses. I did state 1987 Seat, and Fiaty! DOH! The Newky Brown has taken it's tole, or toal, or toll. I can't spell!
As you well know, I have had rallying bypass since Ford destoryed rallying with: Homologation Specials.
Was it Ford? Was the RS1800 a homologation special? Then again, the Stratos, or even the Sport Quattro doesn't look too clever either Well that's any chance of working off Danster's debt gone! Fiat were how much use to SEAT, ever? The SEAT Marbella has to be the lowest move of that era. Hence 1990.
