Help - background change

Can anyone change the background of this picture to something lighter? It's a photo of my wife's cupcakes for her portfolio, so we need to improve it a bit as it's a bit dark.

How`s the contrast/brightness on your screen, because TBH the background looks fine to me...

It's not on the computer, it's a photo album. All the others were taken by me on proper backgrounds, but I was away when she made these. They're really dark in the album compared to the others.
