Hi anyone who know please help with my worry

I just switched insurance companies (AA to Octagon) My AA policy expired 00:01 28th Aug

Now I didn't actually buy my Octagon policy till 15:33 on the 28th Aug, so technically I was un-insured for 15hrs

For that have I just forfitted my 3 yrs NCB?

That sounds highly unlikely that you would lose your no claims discount for a 15 hour uninsured period. It is normally 2 years that most companies accept.
Some of course may differ, but I would think in this day and age a company would want to hold on to a client that had NCB.

New insurance company will ask your previous for proof of how long you were insured and therefore NCB (or they`ll ask you to get the proof from them), so a matter of hours will mean nothing. You`ll be fine...

    Hi Chris,

No need to panic, your NCB will not expire after 15 hours.

The industry standard for accepting NCB is to accept this up to 2 years after the expiry of your last policy.

Simply send either the AA Insurance renewal notice, or NCB proof to Octagon and it will be a case of job done for you.

    Kind regards

    Tony

PS. I'd take a copy/scan of the NCB before you send it in case it goes astray - as they can take 7-10 days to reissue
