    Howdy peeps!

    After some help please.

I have a Golf mk3 VR6 shell with no engine or engine loom (Taken out from fuse box, just has oil temp sensor, start & alternator wiring)

I have got my hands on a Audi TT AJQ 180bhp engine and gearbox (6speed) with engine loom and ECU but no power loom or pedal loom. The gearbox i will change to a GB of a ABF 2.0 16v and i have 3 engine mounts from and ABF also.

Are the pedal/power looms generic or do i need a AJQ pedal/power loom. sorry if i have the terminology wrong & can it reprogrammed. The does not have accelerator cable.

My knowledge on 20vT is very limited and all i know i am missing the pedal/power loom.

    Many Thanks

looked thru the diagram the power loom is the same as aum/auq except it has narrowband pre-cat lambda and no post-cat lamba, so easy to mod :)

pedal wiring looks the same too, pedal is also according to etka :)

Toyotec = waiting for the ECU to be delivered, as soon as i have it(hopefully today) i will post past number to you

The ECU #part number will help to identify the hardware it connects to.

yarp the AJQ ecu uses the same pedal and loom from it to the blue plug as the mk4 golfy and many others so no worries there :)

for the main ecu power loom (I assume you mean the one with the big ecu plug and coloured fusebox plugs on right?) it's the same as the common wideband MK4 AUM/AUQ type looms except you need to swap the wideband 6 pin lambda plug for a narrowband 4 pin lambda plug and tape up 2 of the wires, plus the after-cat lambda wiring can be binned too as this engine code doesn't use one.

but let us know the ECU code when it arrives, in case its some other ecu that's been swapped over in the past :)

oh! and you'll want a mk3 engine loom to base your conversion loom on, if you want the MFA to work get a GTI, 16v or VR6 loom. if not any mk3 will do (or you can just add the 3 wires for the MFA)

main thing is you check the age of your Golf shell as the early ones have the engine and lighting looms separate, late its all bundled into 1 big lump. you'll want the right type of loom to match your shell for an easy life!

You need the same hardware and ECU as your mates MK2. Remember the sensor I asked you guys to change? That is a 5 wire 'wide band' job.

Scratch that it is a AJQ Job!
    Mine is a 8N0906018J!

Just having a look at the file now for 8L0906018J!

It is a narrow band calibration @ 512k.

look for '1m1appajqecu.pdf' for the seat version, or 'a3aqaarzajqappapyecu.pdf' for the audi one :)

    [:s] [:s] [:s] [:s] [:s]

Now i am really confused..so much harder to work than my 16vT ABF.

OK so the ECU, Engine wiring and Engine are out of the same (Audi TT 180bhp, AJQ).

I have purchased electronic throttle pedal with same part number of that is in the car and i have also purchased an AUM power/lambda loom ....is that not right???? [:s]

yes its fine, its a narrowband AJQ ecu so basically same as aum/auq wiring wise except for the differences I mention above :)
