Are they really that much better? Never used one but like the look of them. Not as pricey as they were. Any advice on good one to go for?

acf8181, you must either be using extremely expencive TFT's or very bad CRT's, since my CRT is the best monitor I've ever used :) Including lots of nice TFT's.

If I look at the titles on my web site on a TFT (Golfgirls) they appear 'blocky' but they're clear as a bell on my 'normal' monitor.

The TFT was set on the highest res.

    Ditto [:D] [:D] [:D]

They are utterly perfect, can't fault it at all. Plays games like a demon due to the insane refresh rates as well

CRT's are better than TFT's, a same size TFT cant display as higher resolution as a good CRT! [:s]

I think he means an old curved screen monitor and a flatscreen, not TFT vs CRT....

I'll stick with CRT then. Heard similar comments before but wondered if TFTs had improved any.

ok, no idea what this TFT CFT cr*p you're all talkin about is! but i meant between flat screen and curved moniter. i'm using my girlfriends new computer, it has the basic dell 'value' 17" flat screen, as opposed to using my mothers pile of cr*p packard bell pc world special 17" curvy moniter!

P.S. claypole - got a spare i could have (its gotta be big!) ;)
