How much does a VR6 engine weight?

Quite worried have just mounted a VR6 engine to an
550kg engine stand and it seems to be straining a
little .

Have searched through all the manuals I have and
searched the internet but I cant find how much the
engine weighs.

Any help greatly appriciated.

make sure you have the vertical portion of the stand leaning BACK before you put the engine on it. That way once the engine is on it it'll settle so the engine is almost horizontal.


My clarke one copes fine with a VR6.

was about to buy a draper 450k engine stand for the vr6...any idea how muck this engine does weigh?
