How much to pay for mk2 16v rear lights

Just seen someone on the volkszone watercooled forum trying to sell some. I would like some for my Golf runaround but I dont want to spend any money on it!

Anyone know what the M3 style (clear/red) tail lights from GSF are like? is the clear bit nice and clear or is a bit "orange"?

 

am i rite in saying that the mk2 8v is sposed to have the orange rear lights then, coz mines got smoked ones but i thought that all the 90-spec models had smoked ones, can sumone clear this up for me?

 

I think they do av orange bits in them as they utilise the original bulbs but ur best bet is to buy them and order some silver indicator bulbs from www.silverfusion.co.uk which will give u ur clear clear desired look.

most have the orange ones, but there may be some run out models that came with smoked ones as standard

 

oh and back to the main topic, i got mine for nothing sw*pped them for a set off a mate's car that was being sold

 

i got my late 16v type ones from tub (swapped for a spare harness i had )

they look very good on my tornade red golf i think, much better than std and still subtle

 

Any pics with them on a red car?

Thanks mate, have been watching, 11 atm, and they have a slight crack. Still, not bad i spose.....?

 

The late run out MK2 GTI 8v's were basically 16v spec (without the engine though obviously!!) They had everything the 16v had, Rainbow trim, PAS, EW, CL, BBS Ra's and half smoked rear lights as standard!!!!
