Hi folks, I've bought a cd of etka from ebay, version 7, but the instructions are a little vague to say the least. In the cd there's an application called 'vista', an application called 'hardlock' and a file called etka with a 'start' application inside. Does anyone know how I should try and install these things?
Vista (32 bit I think). It tries to start but then says there's a problem with the hardlock, and closes itself.
most of the 7 versions are german by default, but all languages are included just have to pick English from the menu after it has first loaded. once you install the application you need to install the hardlock crack, which should be included on the cd. there may also be a few files that you have to copy into the etka folder on the hard drive, overwriting the stuff thats there. what version is it, 7.0 or 7.2? really the seller should have included some instructions, its a bit poor selling something that can be had fro free without even including instructions on how to get it to work
I know! I've got to the point of having a copy of etka that doesn't work before, several times, all by myself. Whole point of buying it was so that I'd receive a working copy I could just use. Oh well.
this may be of some use, if you have the 7.0 version: http://vwtech.no-ip.info/downloads/ETKA7 Install.zip
any way you can get etka (have it on an old cd - v6.31.537 apr 05) to install on a laptop that will only run 1280 x 800 maximum i get this when trying to install: REQUIRES A SCREEN RESOLUTION OF 1280 X 1024 TO RUN found etos on the same disc so will give that a try, not sure how different it is from etka but just after diagrams & maybe part numbers for mk1's EDIT: ETOS seems to work ok on my laptop.....
