I have some Borbet C wheels for my Mk1, and bolted them into place to notice that they dont fit tight around the hub like the old nine spoke mk1 GTI wheels did.

Is it right that VW wheels need to be tight around the hub as they are hubcentric? If so can I buy some kind of spacing ring? Is there anywhere in particalar I can get this from? And which measurements will I need? [:s]

    Thanks! :)

Is it spigot rings rather than spacers you need?

Sounds like you need spigot rings.

Yes, VW wheels are "hubcentric". You may find that you get a wheel wobble around 60-70mph.

Like already said, you need some spigot rings.

The inside diameter of the wheel where it slips over the hub, and the outside diameter of the hub. If you're lucky they'll be a universal sized wheel and you can get the rings from ECP, if not you'll probably have to go to a Borbet dealer.
