Hydraulic Tappets Lupo 1.4 1999

Hi

I'm about to change the hydraulic tappets on a VW Lupo 1.4 DOHC.

1. Does anyone have any general advice on things to watch out for?

2. In particular does anyone know the torque wrench settings for the camshaft bearing caps or where I could find these. There appears to be no manual for this model.

Thinking about trading the Lupo in for a tractor since it sounds like one at the moment. I wonder what an average torque is for these bearing caps 25Nm??

 

The torque settings for cam caps on a Mk2 and a 1.6 Mk4 (according to the Haynes manuals I have) is just 20Nm, so I can`t see the 1.4 Lupo engine being much different, but given how critical it is, it`d need definate confirmation.
