Hold your breath while thinking about something else.

Ain't hiccups as a result of muscle spasms in the diaphragm? If so, contract the muscles in your abdominal area and if you're lucky, you might just catch it and cure 'em.

    Works for me, *hic*.

I think its causes when your diaphragm contracts when it should expand, and expands when it should contract... mind over matter....... [:s]

Yep that's what causes em all right.

Need to get your diphram to relax and stop spasming.

    1.Sit bolt up right.
2.Breathe out and try and hold your breath with no air in your lungs.
3.Whe you finally have to breathe, take short breaths
4.Keep your whole body dead still while your doing it
5.Don't swallow for about 2 minutes after you think they're gone. You will trigger more hicups.

    Why does this work.
Reduces oxygen in your blood stream which makes you more relaxed. Holding your breath with no oxygen in your lungs forces you to keep your abdominals tensed evenly.
Aids concentaition and brings the spasm under control.

    Works every time!!! :)
