    right.

ive already got a hex set, goes from 4mm to 10mm... takes care of most of my hex bit needs, pretty unkillable, has seen me through a fair few jobs.

i need a torx and spline bit set (torx for all sorts of vw bits... spline mainly if i need to get the drive shafts off again etc)

can anyone recommend a good torx and spline etc... ive looked and looked, seen so many that my mind is boggled.

i want to strike a good cheap/unkillable balance really

    any suggestions?

Halfords do a cheap set, but probably a cheap set from screw fix or machine mart is just as good.

I have a 20 set & it's been used on countless jobs & seems to stand up to the driveshaft job time & time again

the second one is S2 steel. i think ill get that one.

had to get the door card off a mk4 today, without a torx set, i had to make some wacky contraption that worked, but the right tools make it so much easier.
