    Hi again.

I have the best part of 3 years tig welding under my belt and I figured this would be a good use of my lunch breaks.

Problem, getting parts. Is there any advice I could get for finding a supplier or cutting my own or guides to how to design them?

Mild or stainless I don't mind which I just figure it's a nice thing to learn in my current job.

I made an equal length manifold for my 260z, to be honest when you take time and materials into account your probably better off just buying one.
All made from 316 stainless and back purged for welding.

I think to be competitive you need to specialise. For example only MK4 20vt platform viechles. There is enough scope for plenty of customers and you'll not need so many jigs as most viechles will have a very similar layout engine/turbo/exhaust.

The only downside is you'll be making the same thing over and over.

There is a bloke on the Evo forum who made turbo manifolds for only the forum members in his spare time and now he's full time self employed as he has so much demand.

If you make manifolds for any make/model most of your time will be spent planning and you may need car for as long as it takes to keep checking fitment etc.

    Good luck

You guys are right, I need to rethink this. First off getting some standard parts so I know sizes and dimensions.
