    Hi folks,
Recently bought a 96 MKIII Valver... plugged it into VagCom today -

    00523 - Intake Air Temp Sensor (G42)
    30-00 - Open or Short to B+

I cant find the Intake Air Temperature sensor but found what I recon is the plug for it in the same part of the loom that the Charcoal filter switch connects to. It has a cone filter on it at present but I guess that the IAT is fitted to the standard airbox and that's Y its absent? so if so has anybody got an ABF airbox they fancy selling me?

Steve you are a star. Thought as much... Whoever fitted the cone filter (f3kker [:x] ) in their infinite wisdom didn't fit the IAT (Doh!) into the cone filter housing so hunting around for a std airbox at present. Worse than that tho they left the idle valve hose open to the air... t**ts! So gonna see if one of the cute little aifilters has the correct OD to fit on the Idle valve hose.
I can prob pinch an IAT from a Pisrat or summat as I've never seen a MKIII valver in any of the local yards [:^(]

Tis cool - Managed to pick up a new PCV hose and std airbox and a G42 sensor for my scappies today. Albeit it was from a Seat. The new hose fits not probs but looks like the airbox should fit too. Ran out of light but hopefully get it all on tommorow. :)

Edit: Stuff it got it all fitted together although to get it to fit I had to hack off the bottom mounts on the Seat ABF airbox. Already running much better. :)
