As i'm back on the spanners now my snap on tool box just isnt big enough for all my kit, its a two bay roll cab approx 40" long kra prefix. My thoughts are to get a non snap on box for about a grand and spend extra money on tool's and more kit, but i dont have any experience of other less known makes.

Theres some massive boxes on the bay for about the right money thta should swallow everything for a few years to come but want some first hand knowledge - any ideas or pointers ? :)

    Can be seen just!

Get in touch with a local SnapOn rep and ask about chopping your roll cab in for a roll cab/top chest combo in the same kra series. They have always got offers on tool boxes. You would prob get a good price for yours in part ex.
I love SnapOn and wouldn't bother with anything else. Some people say it's just a toolbox, but they are just so damn fine.

Your local dealer may have some offers on or a reposed box, I’ve just bought another box from a dealer that was packing the job in, 2600 less than the retail price. Don’t PX your old box in, keep it and add to it, you’ll never get back the value of the old one. Have a look at the KRL range, much bigger but it won’t stack on yours.

I’ve been watching all KRL units on e-gay and I can buy new on some of the offers for what people want on e-gay

I love th KRL range, but damn they are expensive. I'd still get one though.
I quite fancy this Classic series one.

They had some graffiti boxes on offer a few months ago, now they are back on the offers sheet again, possibly because they haven’t sold as many of them on the first offer, they may have come down in price because of this, it’s always worth sticking bid in, never just pay what they are up for, they have some movement on price + the dealer gets paid within a month if you take it on extended credit + they are on a special low rate at the moment

Too late now but always worth asking the Snap On dealer if they can ask if there's any returned 'damaged' boxes available - apparently they sell them off pretty cheap.

Top idea, I want another rollcab too really, i'm surprised how many tools i've got considering i've not been on the spanners since 1997 :o Nice to know we can rely on previous experience when needed.

Pay's cr*p tho but i'm enjoying myself! I've done two full engine changes in the last two days, one a K series MG zr160 (not surprised really) the other a Mitsy EVO6, cant wait to road test it   Also ben putting a 2.1 16v into a Mk1 gti when things get quiet, thats gona be a track weapon as cage is bought and ready to go in and been playing with a Mk2 16v thats got a fulll weber Alpha boddies/management, that apparently was fitted not long after the car was registered - its a small bumper E reg [:s] ? makes a beautiful noise
