Been having problems with coil on my car. Its the usual mk3 type with built in ignition module. Seem it can't cope with with the duty needed to run my engine properly. Does anyone know the spec of the mk2 coil regarding voltage rating etc. I've seen voltage ratings for bosch blue and red coils of 18,000v and 25,000v respectively. Are these the same type. I'm looking for a high output type that provides a strong spark. Alternatively i may mod the original coil by removing the module. But still would like to find specs of this if anyone knows.
