my mate has just moved to holland and i have to go over and help him when he buys his car in july ...

now if you all remember about a year back i was saying i wanted a mk2 2dr Jetta and was going to goto canada to get one till you all informed me they have them in germany (tnx for that info btw)

i have been trying to find insurance quotes for it and am having no luck what so ever if finding a company that will insure a 2dr Jetta as they all say its not a real car.

anyone offer any help cos i know there are ppl with imports around here :p
wish i could remember which one of you had the mk2 2dr jetta ... all i remember is it was grey [:$]

not really much of a point in buying a car if i cant drive it now is there.

ChrisP has one doesn't he? :)

I really like 2 door Jettas, have you tried Brentacre for insurance or don't they do 'imports'?

its the grey one that was the first one i ever seen and its ChrisP's car that it was a pic of (i assume anyway)

what engine is in 2dr cos all i can find is 1800's and tbh if i am buying one i want atleast 16v

planning on dropping in the 16v 1.8 anyway so i guess it dont really matter.
my Jetta after a year of stripping and re-building i just got it back from the body shop and they couldnt fix the issue i had with the roof getting damaged in the high winds last year so its a write off and gets to be scrapped.

i have NEVER cut springs tnx.
have 50mm rear and 40mm front springs and shocks tnx that i never fitted...
also got uprated 10mm loewered top mounts for the front incase your wondering why the difference.
would like 10mm lowering top mounts for rear too but stopped looking for now, :p

actually have 2 sets of springs as couldnt find sets of just rears or just fronts ... but will just chuck the unwanted ones away.
